Dog Walking

Dogs are an immense comfort to many people – in Ludlow more so than perhaps elsewhere we know – so our volunteers provide a short-term dog walking service for people who are temporarily unable to exercise their dogs.

  • This support is aimed at people who are temporarily unable to do this themselves, perhaps they have limited mobility as they are recovering from an injury or operation, or they are unable to go out due to illness.
  • This support is aimed at people who are unable to source help through other routes including dog walking businesses (we like to support local businesses) friends and neighbours.  Very often we can help fill a couple of slots on a rota which is mostly filled by friends and family.
  • We can only do this for dogs that are insured by their owners and owners accept that full liability for their pet remains with them.
  • Owners will need to provide a lead, dog mess bags, and confirm any dog we exercise is well behaved and trained to walk on the lead.
  • For more information about this service please contact our community helpline in the first instance, 01584 873 062
