Rural areas pose particular challenges to vulnerable people and people on a very tight budget. Our volunteers help people ensure that, as far as possible, lack of access to transport doesn’t reduce their quality of life.
- We help signpost people to flexible travel solutions including various community transport charities in our area and organisations offering transport for hospital appointments. The primary referral is to Community Cars who prvide this service for 30p a mile: Call Sharon on 07890 846550.
- We provide subsidised weekly transport for people who cannot travel to and from our weekly community lunches by any other means.
