Afternoon Teas Volunteer (Wednesdays)

(Volunteer commitment: 1.5 – 3 hrs per shift)

Our volunteers provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere every Wednesday afternoon at Helena Lane (behind the Catholic Church) for people who benefit from sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks along with company and conversation, all provided by our volunteers. Volunteer roles include:

  • Lead volunteer: Organises the volunteer rota and overseas each event.
  • Kitchen volunteers: Help prepare and serve simple food such as cakes and sandwiches.  We will provide training and pay for you to complete a Food Preparation Level 2 certificate.
  • Front of house volunteers: Welcome people, record attendances, transport requests and take payment.  They also circulate and chat as needed, making sure everyone is involved, helping new people settle in and helping with activities such as our weekly quizzes

Volunteers can join this rota weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

You can find more information about the event here.

Please send us your details using our application form below and we'll be in touch as soon as we can.
