Mentoring Volunteer

Mentoring (Volunteer commitment: 1-2 hours per week when paired)

If you’re good at helping provide encouragement, motivation and support to young people who might have lacked the benefit of learning from a positive role model during their childhood you’ve the skills we need in our mentoring team.

Our volunteer mentors help people help themselves by providing challenge, direction, support, access to opportunities and links to other useful contacts. Mentors work 1:1 with mentees, typically over a six month period, working toward agreed objectives and targets usually linked to gaining work or employability skills. Full training given. Note: This role requires volunteers to have a DBS check, paid for by Hands Together Ludlow.
